A delicate tea made from organic chamomile flowers.
Chamomile has been used for centuries to soothe and calm.
Its delicate, gentle, flavour makes it a popular drink at bed time or during the day to refresh and de-stress.
Cold chamomile tea can be used to soothe puffy skin around the eyes. Soak cotton wool pads in the cold tea, place over your eyelids and relax.
Two teaspoons of herb to a large teapot of boiling water. Allow to steep for 5-10minutes. Strain and add honey or lemon to taste.
A delicious, calming herbal tea for children once they are weaned and taking solid foods. Add cold water to the hot tea and test it is cool enough, before giving to young children.
Organically grown Chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita). As the season changes there will be slight variation in the herbs, such as the colour, and the taste can vary slightly from harvest to harvest.
Many teas are sold in teabags these days. Our Napiers herbal teas are not and there are good reasons why not. A teabag only contains around 2 or 3 grams of very dry, finely chopped or powdered herbs. We believe that not chopping herbs into tiny pieces, which dries out their natural oils, helps to preserve their beneficial goodness.
We also like to vary the strength of our teas. We all come in different shapes, states or sizes, and so does our taste and need for a good cup of tea!
It’s very easy to use loose tea and doesn’t have to involve chopping down a tree to make the paper for a tea bag! Use a tea strainer or tea ball.
Compost loves loose too!
