Cryptolepis sanguinolenta

A food supplement to support your health sometimes known as Ghanaian quinine or yellow dye root. 

Extracts such as tinctures or essences offer a convenient alternative to herbal teas. They may also be used in food, food supplements, cosmetics and as a starter ingredient by herbalists in prescription formulas.

Please note that our tincture is now 1:5 60%. The country of origin is Ghana where we have direct contact with herbalists, farmers and harvesters.


Cryptolepis sanguinolenta  extracted in ethanol (alcohol) made from the sugar beet plant. The part used is the root. The strength is 1:5 60%.


Adults: Take from 1 ml to 5 ml 3 times a day unless otherwise directed by your practitioner.

Amount taken can vary from 1 ml to 5 ml three times a day so we suggest a serving size of 2.5 ml. Please consult a practitioner for further advice


It is best to use this tincture under the advice of a medical or herbal medicine practitioner.


Do not use if you are pregnant or if you are planning to become pregnant without your doctor's approval. Not all herbs are suitable in breastfeeding or for young children, or if you are unwell, have health concerns or an ongoing illness.

Side effects
